About Course

Overview

  • The qualification is underpinned by an initial foundation year that explores advocacy, sociology, social policy and social studies.

Requirements

  • All applicants will be required to provide a satisfactory enhanced disclosure document from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
  • 80 UCAS points.
  • Non-traditional students will be considered on their experience and individual merit.
  • Applicants with FE/Access qualifications welcomed.

Classroom based

1 year full-time flexible study

You must attend the class 15 hours a week.

Financial Support

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you may be provided with additional financial support through the maintenance Fund, which can be used to provide financial assistance with travel, course equipment and childcare costs.

Progression Route

A Certificate of Higher Education is a Level 4 qualification and is equivalent to the first year of a full-time honours degree programme. To achieve the qualification, students must obtain a minimum of 120 credits. The successful completion of a Certificate of Higher Education can lead to the second year of an appropriate Foundation Degree or an honours degree programme.
