About Course

Overview

  • The HNC/HND Engineering Systems award aims to develop candidate's abilities to apply analysis and synthesis skills to the solution of engineering problems and provides an award that creates a route towards meeting the academic requirements for Incorporated Engineer status.
  • Candidates will also be provided with opportunities to develop knowledge, understanding and skills in an engineering systems approach to the study of Engineering and achieve a degree of specialisation within one or more of the following areas: Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Fabrication and Welding.

Financial Support

If you meet the eligibility criteria, you may be provided with additional financial support through the maintenance Fund, which can be used to provide financial assistance with travel, course equipment and childcare costs.

£6,000.00

The University fees are payable either from self funding or get support from Student Finance England, eligibility and terms and conditions applies.

Classroom based

HNC is designed for 1 Year full-time.

HNC and HND together are designed for 2 years full-time study.

You must attend the class 15 hours a week.

Completing the assignments, Exams, Presentations.

Requirements

  • 64 tariff points in A Level subjects including maths or a Level 3 BTEC in an engineering discipline.

Progression Route

HNC and HND program are equivalent of University 1st year and 2nd year. The successful completion of a HND can lead to the 3rd year of an appropriate Topup Degree or an honours degree programme.
